My favorite part was about clapping from the wings. I'm always thrilled when my students go on to great things. I particularly love reading their books that are published after they take a workshop. It's not about me ever. It's about them.

Hi Arwen!

Thank you for your comment. Yes - there is nothing more gratifying than seeing someone succeed. Recently, i got to watch one of my fabulous mentees take the stage at a big event and I was so proud and excited for her. It was a shining moment for her -and I could not have been happier to witness her stepping into the spotlight.

Blessings!

Thank you for this terrific article. Many of these lessons apply to so many areas of life.
A good reminder to "keep Learning"

Hi Lynn,

Thanks for the comment. I firmly believe that we never stop learning. Those who think they are "done learning" have the most to learn. My late 94 year old father always enjoyed learning new things - even right up until the end. :)

Blessings!

This is an awesome post with great points Theresa, thank you! I especially liked the 'get your ego out of it', as that is a very powerful statement about giving to a student, not being in competition with them.

Hello Suzi!

Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. Yup - ego creates a lot of problems in the teacher/student dynamic. A teacher is not here to compete with the student - they are here to bring out potential - even if it surpasses the teachers.

Blessings!
Theresa
